SUMMARY:Herb Walk as part of Dursley Walking Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Herb Walk will take us from the Market Hall\, down to Dursley Green and along the Cam through Littlecombe. It is not much more than a mile\, and relatively flat all the way. We’ll be out for about an hour and a half as we’ll be pausing to chat about the various herbs we find along the way. \nOur local fields\, hedgerows and green spaces are full of purposeful plants\, many of which hold stories of how they have been used or regarded by local people over time. Getting to know your local herbs provides wonderful seasonal markers to look out for\, and may even inspire a little hedgerow gathering for your own use. \nOn this walk we’ll just be noticing the plants and talking about them and their many associations\, not gathering or foraging. \nThe walk will be led by Laura Pardoe\, Cam-based Hedgerow Skincare Expert\, who regularly leads herb walks in the area as part of the Cotswold Herb Centre.
