DESCRIPTION:Join our monthly herb walk\, they take place on the first Saturday of every month in or around Cam and Dursley. The walks take about an hour\, we don’t cover much distance but we do meet a lot interesting plants. \nTo learn more about herb walks\, take a look at this blog  \nAnd  you can read the monthly blogs for each herb walk we’ve done on the blog pages at www.CotswoldHerbCentre.uk \nThe location for the walk changes each month\, depending on what’s in season. \nFor our March walk\, we’ll be visiting Rackleaze nature reserve in Cam.  \nWe’ll meet at 10am outside Winterbotham Hall on Cam High Street.  \nThe What3Words location is ///weedy.shave.collision \nThis is a site we’ve visited previously in autumn so we’re excited to see how different it feels in early spring. \nThe nature reserve is adjacent to fields currently being given over to housing development. You’ve probably noticed all this activity in Lower Cam. Many have expressed sadness at seeing the green diversity of these fields changing for good. DESCRIPTION:The landscape can appear a little bleak in early spring after all the glorious colours of Autumn and Christmas\, but look a little closer and you will see many shades of colour and texture in the Hedgerows. From the bright red of dogwood \, the silver grey of snowberry\, and olive green of ash\, to the vibrant colours of this season’s willows.  We will use them all to celebrate the short season of Hedgerow Basketmaking. Join willow artist and tutor\, Helen Lomberg\, in a creative day working with willow to make a stunning Hedgerow based basket using locally grown materials. Working in a small group and with lots of support from Helen\, you will learn traditional basket making techniques and weave a colourful and unique basket. You could make a colourful fruit basket\, platter or tray or even a small basket with a simple handle. \nAll materials are provided\, but if you’d like to bring your own secateurs you are most welcome. Please wear old clothes as it can get a bit mucky!
